According to a new U.S. News and World Report rankings of best public high schools, Cumberland County and Stone Memorial High Schools are the highest-ranked in the Upper Cumberland.

Cumberland County is ranked 61st among Tennessee schools in the report, scoring 75.8 on the scorecard. The school graduated 91 percent of its students and received a 9.4 ranking on college readiness.

Stone Memorial ranked 66th with an overall score of 73.2.
