CUMBERLAND COUNTY INMATE CHARGED WITH CONTRABAND AFTER ACTING STRANGE

Cumberland County, TN- On Friday officers were notified of an inmate acting strangely. When they made contact with the inmate identified as Anthony Daily, he was sweating profusely, acting strange, and had very tiny pupils. Officers escorted Mr. Daily to intake to perform a strip search due to his erratic actions and the possibility of being under the influence and having concealed contraband on his person.

During the search, an officer noticed something unusual when the inmate squatted down. When the unknown object was removed, it was wrapped in toilet paper. When officers unfolded the toilet paper, there was a notebook paper that had a gray powder-like substance inside of it.

One officer identified the substance as Heroin. Anthony Daily was charged with Simple Possession ($6,000 bond) and Introduction of Contraband in a Penal Institute ($12,000 bond).
