CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO DRUG AND CONTRABAND CHARGES

According to the Crossville Chronicle, Jimmy Luther Bowman Jr., a 50-year-old man from Cumberland County, pleaded guilty as a repeat offender to four drug and contraband charges stemming from undercover investigations and traffic stops by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Facing an original 16 counts—including multiple sales and possessions of methamphetamine and fentanyl exceeding 0.5 grams, introduction of contraband into a penal institution, and driving on a suspended license—Bowman admitted to selling more than 0.5 grams of meth on March 18, 2024; possessing 0.5 grams of fentanyl for sale or delivery and introducing contraband on December 10, 2024; and possessing 0.5 grams or more of meth with intent on February 28, 2024.
The remaining charges were dropped.
Appearing before Judge Gary MeKenzie in Criminal Court alongside dozens of other defendants, Bowman was sentenced to 15 years in prison at 35% service, with credit for 327 days already served in jail.
