CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN SETS OWN HOME ON FIRE “AFTER BEING TIRED OF DRUG ACTIVITY THERE”

Cumberland County firefighters and law enforcement responded to an unusual residential blaze on Taylor’s Chapel Road yesterday. The owner of the home told officers he just returned there from 10 days in jail and found the locks to the dwelling changed. When he kicked the door open, most of his belongings were gone and several individuals were occupying it. The man ordered everyone to leave and once they were outside, he set his own home on fire because he “was tired of all the drug traffic and usage being done there.” The residence was not insured. The report did not specify any charges filed and no injuries were reported.
