CUMBERLAND COUNTY SCHOOL BUS WITH CHILDREN ON BOARD HIT BY JEEP

A vehicle accident involving a school bus with children on board in Cumberland County this morning resulted in no injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol report indicates a 1997 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 17-year-old pulled out onto Highway 70 West from Dillon Street in Crossville and impacted the 2006 school bus operated by 64-year-old Ronald Weiss. No one was initially reported hurt. The driver of the Jeep was charged with failure to exercise care and failure to yield.
