CUMBERLAND COUNTY SHERIFF STUCK WITH USED DRUG SYRINGE WHILE SEARCHING VEHICLE OF WANTED SUBJECTS
Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox and two investigators recently went to a residence on Moytoy Road on Renegade Mountain to serve warrants on two subjects. During a search of a vehicle at the scene, Sheriff Cox was stuck in his thumb by an uncapped used syringe inside a bag. The suspects, 34-year-old Bryan Jefferey Arnett and 43-year-old Gerald Wayne Minotto, reportedly said they were positive for Hepatitis C. Sheriff Cox told 105.7 News the needle hit the bone and bent. He went to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment and a blood test. As of today (July 13, 2020), test results are pending on all three. Minotto and Arnett were charged with the manufacture, sale and delivery of a Schedule I and II drug.
