CUMBERLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING

A man is recovering after being shot by his brother in Cumberland County yesterday. Sheriff Casey Cox told 105.7 News this afternoon two brothers at a family gathering off of Lowe Road got into an argument. Cox said 28-year-old John Baron of Crossville was shot in the right side of his head with a 22-caliber firearm allegedly by 26-year-old Brandon Luke Baron. Deputies say six shots were reportedly fired during the altercation. John Baron was able to ride a motorcycle up to the corner of Taylor’s Chapel Road and Clinton Wright Lane where he came upon a state trooper. The victim was transported to U.T. Medical Center where he is expected to recover. Cox said no arrest has been made yet as the incident remains under investigation.
