On Saturday, December 6, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at Proffitt’s Market, located at 3405 Pomona Road.

A masked male armed with a large machete entered the store and demanded money. The suspect was dressed in a black winter coat, black mask, gloves, and jeans, and fled the scene on foot behind the store.

Deputies, along with Crossville Police Department units, established a perimeter, initiated a K9 track, and deployed a drone in an attempt to locate the suspect. The investigation remains active.
