CUMBERLAND COUNTY WOMAN RECOVERING AFTER ARROW GOES INTO HER ARM

A Cumberland County woman is recovering after a hunting arrow accidentally went into her arm. The report states deputies went to a home on Raines Road Saturday and discovered the female in her 30’s on the ground in the front yard bleeding profusely. One officer applied a tourniquet to stop it as medics arrived. She told officers she was picking up items inside the residence, including the arrow, when she tripped over a cord causing the arrow to enter above her arm striking an artery. Paramedics transported her to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for treatment.
