Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox and his team of investigators are continuing to follow up on leads in the murder of Linda Damewood at her 8610 Cherokee Trail home in Lake Tansi January 19th. When asked why no attempted-murder charges had been filed against anyone in the shootings of the other two victims, Cox told 1057 News this morning additional charges are expected to be filed when the grand jury convenes. He said they’re taking this approach rather than going through general sessions court for individual charges. Suspects Kirk Douglas Clark and Doneal Marie Clark are due to appear in court February 14 to answer to first-degree murder and weapons charges.
