DEADLINE PASSES FOR INDIVIDUALS RUNNING FOR NATIONAL, STATE AND LOCAL OFFICES IN AUGUST 2020 ELECTION
The deadline for individuals wishing to qualify for the August 2020 primary election came at noon today (April 2, 2020). The deadline was not extended because of the coronavirus situation.
Primary elections for U.S. Senate, U.S. House seats and some county offices will take place August 6, 2020.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY
The Cumberland County Election Commission will meet this afternoon at 4 p.m. central to declare the individuals official to run in the August 2020 election. Here is the unofficial list as of the deadline of noon today running for seats in Cumberland County:
Cumberland County Commission District 6 – Joe Sherrill and Charley Wilson
Cumberland County Commission District 9 – Colleen K. Mall
Cumberland County School Board District 2 – Robert Safdie
Cumberland County School Board District 4 – Anita C. Hale and Brian McDonald
Cumberland County School Board District 6 – Chris A. King
Cumberland County School Board District 8 – Teresa Boston
State House of Representatives 25th District Primary – Cameron Sexton (incumbent Republican) and Robyn Deck (Democrat)
6th Congressional District House of Representative – John Rose (Republican)
State Executive Committee Woman 15th Senatorial District – Beth Cox (republican)
U.S Senate Republican Primary – Johnny “J.J.” Presley, R. Scott Tebault, Bill Hagerty, Manny Sethi
