Cumberland County deputies recently responded to a home on Lancer Court for a possible attempted arson. Officers spoke to a woman living at the residence who received a call from a man she knew telling her to check her outbuilding. She did so and noticed it was burned slightly. When officers questioned the suspect and asked him how he knew about the damage done, he claimed he drove by and saw it but officers stated they could not see it from the road. The incident is being looked into by authorities.
