DEPUTIES RESPOND TO BUSINESS BURGLARY ON WESTEL ROAD
Cumberland County deputies responded to a convenience store just north of I-40 on Westel Road yesterday to a burglary. Officers arrived to find a front window busted out. The report states video surveillance footage shows a small red four door sedan pulling up to the business and a suspect getting out wearing a mask. The burglar was carrying a black bag in one hand and some sory of hand tool in the other. The suspect used the tool to break the glass to make entry into the store. Once inside, the burglar was able to open two cash registers and search several drawers behind the counter. The person then left and fled the scene in the vehicle.
