DERRICK FOISTER ARRESTED FOR FORGERY, THEFT
Friday evening, Cumberland County deputies arrested 38-year-old Derrick Kane Foister of Monterey for two counts of forgery and a single count of theft.
At the end of February, Foister attempted to pay for a power-tool set at Williams Wholesale Supply with a stolen and forged check for $738.80. The check had been stolen during a recent home burglary. When store employees said they would need to call the individual whose check it was, Foister said he’d left his phone in the car; he went outside and drove away, leaving the check behind.
The next day, Foister went to Master Repair Services on U.S. Highway 127 North and used a second stolen and forged check to pay $1,042.62 for a Kohler generator.
March 19, three employees from the two stores picked Foister out of a photo lineup.
Foister is being held on $30,000 bond and is due to appear in court April 15.
