CLARK, RECTOR ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES
Late Friday night, Cumberland County deputies arrived at the Ivy Avenue Apartments on Donna Lane to find a vehicle, running, with only its parking lights on, with three occupants, including a child in the rear seat. The passenger’s-side window was rolled down and there was a strong odor of marijuana wafting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up nearly 8 grams of marijuana and about 1.5 grams of meth. The driver, 30-year-old Tiana Leeann Clark of Crossville, was charged with felony possession of meth and simple possession of marijuana; she was placed under $11,000 bond and is due to appear in court April 15.
The front-seat passenger, 34-year-old Cody Dwayne Rector of Crossville, was found to have an active warrant in Cumberland County. A search of his person turned up approximately 7 grams of marijuana.
Rector was asked multiple times whether he had anything else illegal on him; he said he did not. A strip search at intake proved otherwise; Rector was found to have approximately 3.3 grams of meth concealed in a body cavity.
Rector was charged with felony possession of meth, introduction of contraband into a penal institution and simple possession of marijuana, as well as the outstanding failure-to-appear warrant. He’s being held on $43,000 bond and is due in court April 8.
A DCS referral was made regarding the minor child, who was released into the custody of his grandmother.
