DETAILED TIMELINE OF FAIRFIELD GLADE TRIPLE SHOOTING FRIDAY, MURDER SUSPECT IN JAIL-NO BOND

57-year-old Tony Davenport has been charged with first-degree murder in the Fairfield Glade shooting death of 24-year-old Jacob Lewis along with two charges of attempted murder of Jacobs’s mother and Jacob’s step-dad.

According to FFG Police, a male went into the (Gidget Easterly) residence on Thursday night, March 17th, forcefully.  A neighbor called the police to the residence on Grouse CT at 9:55pm.  When police arrived, the intruder had fled the scene and the three people in the house were reluctant in answering many questions about the home invasion. A FFG Police press release did note one resident sustained a minor injury and a firearm was recovered from the scene that possibly belonged to the suspect. The injury to the resident of the home was not a result of a discharge of the weapon.

Deputies went back to the residence earlier Friday morning, March 18th,  to further investigate the home invasion and again were not given much information about the Thursday night incident by the family.

Friday morning, Jacob Lewis (appears to have) posted on social networks the events of Thursday night saying that “a man kicked in my mom’s door with a rifle pointed at my mom and stepdad. When I was in the other room shot my mom’s wall. He then jumped on top of my stepdad with the gun around his throat.  I threw the man off of him and beat in his left eye to where he was delusional….what’s worse, I let him leave because I bout killed him and told him to leave.”

Jacob continued to write that afterward his stepdad was outside talking with the intruder who begged them to not call the police and, according to Jacob’s text, “the man jumps my stepdad with his pit bull.”  The time stamp on Jacob’s Friday morning text was one hour before Davenport allegedly went in the residence and shot everyone.

Police told us they did not have Davenport’s name given to them during their call to the house on Thursday night.  It wasn’t until Davenport allegedly went back to the residence Friday morning at 11:30 and shot the stepdad, mother and her son Jacob, who died at the scene, that officers discovered the suspect was Tony Davenport.  Officers put out a BOLO on Davenport and his vehicle.  Davenport was later found at his residence at King Arthur CT which is very near the Easterly house.  SWAT members were called in and began negotiations with Davenport who eventually surrendered.  Davenport is being held at the Cumberland County Justice Center without bond. The stepdad, who was identified as Corey Hillsman,  and Jacob’s mother, Gidget, are recovering from gunshot wounds at U.T. Medical Center.

As it turns out, the suspect – Tony Davenport – has been charged with murder in Cumberland County before.  In 2003 Davenport along with Porter Conway Vance were charged with second-degree murder in the beating death of John Everett Roberts, 37, who lived on Old Sparta Dr.  According to records, Davenport pled to a lesser charge of aggravated assault.
