DETAILS FROM THE WRECK IN ROANE COUNTY ON I40 FRIDAY

Roane County, TN- Friday afternoon, traffic was stopped on Interstate 40 for a few hours due to an overturned semi. Jarnail Singh, from Rochester, NY was traveling eastbound when he approached an area of slowing traffic and applied brakes swerving to the right side of the roadway. The semi left the roadway striking a light pole before rolling onto its side.

According to the THP report, Jarnail Singh, age 58, was wearing his seatbelt and had injuries from the wreck. He did not have a license or insurance.

His passenger, Fateh Singh, age 43 from California, was not wearing her seatbelt, and also had injuries.

Charges are pending for the driver. The severity of the injuries is unknown.
