DETAILS ON LAST NIGHT’S SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 68 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
On December 18, 2025, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 68 at Moonshine Trail in Cumberland County, Tennessee. A 2008 Ford EPD, driven by 31-year-old Jacob Burnside was traveling eastbound when it was unable to avoid a tree that had fallen into the roadway.
The vehicle struck the tree and came to final rest in the eastbound lane.
Burnside, who was wearing his seat belt, sustained injuries. No passengers were reported in the vehicle, and no charges were filed against the driver pending the outcome of the investigation.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
