DETAILS ON LAST WEEK’S CRASH ON DUNBAR ROAD

On September 12, 2025, at approximately 00:18 AM, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Dunbar Road in Cumberland County, Tennessee, involving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 18-year-old Dylan Ryan Cantrell, with 18-year-old Aiden Michael Mepham as a passenger.
The vehicle, traveling southbound and exceeding the 35 mph speed limit, veered off the right side of the road, striking a barbed wire fence and a telephone pole. It then continued through a field, hit another section of the same fence, crossed the roadway, and collided with a wooden fence on the opposite side, where it came to a stop.
Both occupants sustained suspected minor injuries but were not transported for medical treatment. The crash occurred in foggy, dark conditions on a dry, curved, one-lane asphalt road with no traffic control devices. The vehicle, owned by Breonda N. Cantrell, sustained disabling front-end damage and was towed.
No alcohol or drug use was suspected, and no citations were issued. The incident, investigated by Deputy Tyler R. Leary, caused damage to private property, including a telephone pole and fences.
