This afternoon, the Tennessee Highway Patrol released a report of a recent tractor-trailer fire on I-40 at the 340-mile marker.

It states a 2016 Freightliner operated by 33-year-old Gurmeet Singh of California was traveling west when he pulled onto the off-ramp Tuesday night.

Singh told troopers he observed the brakes glowing orange, and then a fire started.

He quickly detached and pulled away from the trailer.

The trailer was fully engulfed in flames when troopers and firefighters arrived.

Singh was not hurt in the incident.
