DISTURBANCE AT HOSPICE HOUSE LEADS TO CROSSVILLE MAN’S ARREST

Monday evening, Crossville police went to the Hospice House on Kates Corner for a report of a 56-year-old man arguing with and threatening nurses. Upon arrival, they were told he had just left with other men in a vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle in question turning onto Genesis Road. Initiating a traffic stop on Stone Drive, they smelled marijuana coming from inside. The back-seat passenger, 20-year-old Chandler Reece Houston of Crossville, admitted having marijuana on him. Not only did Houston have approximately 18.7 grams of marijuana, he also had a pipe and a counterfeit $20 bill with Chinese lettering on it.

Houston claimed he was using the money for YouTube videos and, according to the arrest report, he “got the marijuana to help with his truck.”

Houston was arrested for possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; he was not charged for the counterfeit bill, which was seized.

Hospice House asked that the 56-year-old man be banned from the premises.
