DOGGY DOO AND MY NEIGHBOR TOO

On Sunday around 8:13 p.m. Deputy Brandon Griffin of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Spruce Loop area in response to a dispute between neighbors.

After arriving Griffin spoke with an 85-year-old female complainant who explained her next-door neighbor was harassing her after asking him to keep his dog from defecating in her yard, however, the dog was still coming into her yard, along with the neighbor.

The complainant also explained that shortly before the deputy arrived, the neighbor was shining a flashlight in the complainant’s living room window and watched him drop something in her yard.

The complainant’s friend took pictures of the troublesome neighbor and went to see what he dropped in her yard only to find three bags of dog feces placed on the property line.

Deputy Griffin then made contact with the neighbor who admitted to everything, and was later made to pick up the bag by the deputy. The neighbor explained that he placed the bags of dog feces in the complainant’s yard due to her placing up ‘No Trespassing’ signs in her yard. After explaining that his behavior was childish and that the complainant could do as she wished with her yard, the deputy said he would arrest the neighbor if he were caught on the property again.

While inside the complainant’s residence, Deputy Griffin said he saw the neighbor pacing up and down the property line, trying to look inside the complainant’s house. Griffin advised the complainant to seek a summons for harassment through the Judicial Commissioner and said units would extra patrol her residence.
