A driver escaped injury after his car collided with part of a washed out road in Cumberland County from flooding early yesterday morning. Deputies say 38-year-old Daniel H. Tollett of Crossville was driving a 2019 Kia just before sunrise on Shug Circle near Myra Drive when the front end of the car dropped into a washed out area of the road. By the time Tollett saw the washed out area, he could not stop in time. The vehicle sustained major front end damage in the impact. Tollett was not hurt and was restrained at the time of the crash.
