DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY IN ROLLOVER VEHICLE CRASH
A driver was not hurt in an accident yesterday in Roane County. Troopers say a 2006 Ford operated by 33-year-old Jeremy D. Regues of Antioch was traveling west on I-40 near the 355 mile marker when he lost control and left the road. The vehicle crossed the westbound exit ramp of Lawnville Road, went down an embankment and rolled several times before coming to rest next to the Pilot station parking lot. Pegues was cited for failure to exercise due care and violations of the car registration and insurance laws. In a separate accident, a tractor-trailer driver escaped injury when his rig overturned yesterday morning at the 333 mile marker in Cumberland County. Traffic was heavy at the scene for hours.
