A driver escaped injury in a tractor-trailer accident early this morning in Cumberland County on I-40. Law enforcement and medics went to the scene at the 332 mile marker around 2 a.m. where the 18-wheeler left the road and impacted an embankment. The Tennessee Highway Patrol told 1057 News the truck was hauling frozen food. One lane of eastbound traffic at the scene was blocked for a few hours. Authorities say traffic could be backed up again later for a while as the tractor-trailer is removed. The name of the driver was not initially released by the highway patrol.
