DRIVER HURT IN VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 127 NEAR HOMESTEAD
A vehicle crash early this morning in Cumberland County resulted in an injury.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup driven by 56-year-old Michael Norris was traveling south on Highway 127 at Bob Tollett Road.
Troopers say Norris crossed the center line and hit a 2019 Nissan Sentra operated by 72-year-old Marjorie Bristow on the front driver’s side.
The truck came to rest in the roadway while the Nissan went into a ditch line.
The crash report indicates Bristow was hurt while Norris was uninjured.
Both drivers were restrained at the time of impact.
Troopers noted a citation to Norris for failure to exercise due care.
Traffic was backed up in both directions at the scene for over an hour.
