DRIVER RUNS OFF I-40 AND STRIKES CABLE BARRIERS IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded Saturday night to a single-vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County.

The accident report states a 1995 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 21-year-old Jose Armado Galvan was traveling west near the 335-mile marker when he failed to negotiate a curve.

The vehicle left the interstate and struck a cable barrier.

Galvan was not hurt in the accident.

Troopers charged Galvan with driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence, and violation of the open container law.
