On July 20, 2025, Deputy Nathan Lewis responded to a report of a vehicle crash at 10515 Highway 70 West, Crossville, TN, where Owen Ezra Skinner wrecked his white Chevrolet S-10 and fled on foot. Skinner, located a mile away by Corporal Jackson, was found drinking an alcoholic beverage and in possession of two unopened containers.

Showing signs of intoxication, Skinner failed standardized field sobriety tests, and a check revealed his driver’s license was revoked due to a prior 2023 DUI. He was arrested for driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, and leaving the scene of an accident, with two vials of his blood collected as evidence for TBI lab analysis. Skinner’s court date was set for August 11, 2025.
