DRUNK MAN HITS POWER POLE ON STANLEY AND OAK INTERSECTION

On April 26, 2025, at around 00:24, Deputy Caleb Charles responded to a vehicle accident at Oak Street and Stanley Street. A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Tanner Hale, was found in a ditch after hitting two power poles.
Hale showed signs of distress and had a head injury. Deputy Charles noted a strong smell of alcohol and found open beer cans in and around the vehicle. Hale admitted to EMS that he consumed 4-5 beers before driving. EMS collected two vials of his blood for evidence and transported him to Rockwood Emergency Room, then to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Based on the evidence, including Hale’s admission and impaired state, Deputy Charles issued a warrant for Hale’s arrest for DUI. The damaged vehicle was towed, and the owner was notified.
