DRUNK TEEN CRASHES CAR ON WINDERMERE

On Sunday, Crossville Police units responded to the area of Windermere Drive about a crash. Upon arriving Officer Shade Foster saw a white Infiniti G35 in the ditch with front-end damage to the vehicle.

A check through dispatch returned that the vehicle belonged to Jamell Grayer. Grayer returned to the scene driven by another male as officers were waiting for a wrecker to remove the vehicle.

According to the report, Grayer had bloodshot watery eyes, was unsteady on his feet, and had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. Grayer was detained and Sergeant Massey read him his Miranda Rights.

Grayer agreed to speak with officers and said that he was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash, but would not admit to being intoxicated. It was found that Grayer was under the age of legal consumption of alcohol at the time of the arrest.

Grayer was placed into custody, taken to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking, and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report a vehicle accident, and underage consumption of alcohol.
