DUI, DRIVING VIOLATIONS, AND PUBLIC INTOXICATIONS TOPS ARRESTS IN CROSSVILLE

The Crossville Police Department released its latest monthly report to be reviewed by the city council in their meeting tonight.

It states officers made 123 arrests in December 2023. The breakdown of arrests is as follows:

Warrants served – 24

Driving on a revoked, suspended, or no license – 15

Drug violations – 11

DUI – 11

Public intoxication – 8

Violation of bond conditions or orders of protection – 6

Possession of drug equipment – 6

Shoplifting – 5

Domestic assault – 5

Assault – 4

Weapons law violation – 3

Criminal trespassing – 3

Vandalism – 2

Fraud – 2

Disorderly conduct – 2

Arson – 2

Obstruction of a legal writ – 2

Evading or resisting arrest – 2

Sex offender violation – 2

Reckless driving – 1

Assault of an officer – 1

Intimidation – 1

Theft all other – 1

Hit and run – 1

Tampering with evidence – 1

Embezzlement – 1

Violation of implied consent law – 1

Crossville police responded to 52 offenses in December 2023 including:

Shoplifting – 10

Fraud – 7

Vandalism – 6

Burglary – 5

Deaths – 4

Lost property – 2

Counterfeit bills – 2

Runaways – 1

Property damage – 1

Weapons law violation – 1

Robbery – 1

Recovery – 1

Hit and run – 1

Disorderly conduct – 1

Police officers issued 160 citations in December 2023 including:

Registration violations – 43

Speeding – 28

Light law violation – 23

No insurance – 19

Seatbelt violations – 15

Ran stop sign – 7

Improper use of lane – 5

Ran traffic light – 4

Violation of the open container law – 4

Failure to yield – 3

Failure to exercise due care – 3

Window tent violation – 2

Illegal turn – 2

Texting while driving – 1

Blocking intersection – 1

Crossville police arrested 15 juveniles in December 2023 including:

Vaping or tobacco violations – 13

Driving on a revoked, suspended or no license – 1

Assault – 1

As far as 101 vehicle accidents in Crossville in December 2023, officers responded to 63 for minor injuries, 28 without injuries, and 10 with significant injuries.
