Cumberland County authorities say 29-year-old Willie Dyal was taken into custody this week for violation of the sex offender registry.

The sheriff’s office says Dyal has been booked into the jail 23 times on charges ranging from aggravated burglary to rape of a child.

He was ordered onto the state sex offender registry and classified as violent against children following his 2012 conviction of criminal attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery.
