EARL DEAN FUNERAL SERVICES SCHEDULED

An elder-statesman, long-time businessman and true humanitarian of Crossville and Cumberland County passed away Saturday. Earl Dean had been on the local scene for decades. He was the owner and president of the Monticello Canning Company for years before becoming a city council member in 1989. He served as mayor of Crossville from 1993 to 1998 and then returned to serve another stint on the council from 2000 to 2012. He also served on the Crossville Regional Planning Commission for 17 years. Funeral services for the 79-year-old Dean will be at 10 AM Sat. June 21 at Central Baptist Church with burial afterward in Green Acres Memory Gardens including full military honors.  Family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 20th from 5-7 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home, followed by a Masonic Service at 7 PM. Survivors: Wife – Julia Dean; Son – Kevin (Sara) Dean; Granddaughter – Lilly Dean; and Brother – Fred Dean, Jr. Memorial Donations can be made to Alzheimer’s of Tennessee, Inc., 1459 Interstate Dr., Suite 211, Cookeville, TN 38501-4609 or at http://www.alztennessee.org.
