Early voting continues for the August 2 general election. As of 3 p.m. yesterday, 4,118 people had voted in Cumberland County with 3.354 cast on the Republican side and 735 for Democrats. In Roane County, 4,608 have voted, with 1,136 for Democrats and 3,307 for Republicans. In Rhea County, 2,935 votes have been cast – 2,251 being Republicans and 539 Democrats. Fentress County has seen 2,674 early votes, with 1,755 Republican and 408 Democrats, and in Pickett County, 597 early voters have made their choice so far, 332 Republicans and 178 Democrats. The last day for early voting is this Saturday, July 28.
