EARLY VOTING CONTINUES IN CUMBERLAND AND ROANE COUNTY FOR MARCH 5 ELECTION

Early voting continues until this Tuesday for the March 5, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary. Voters in Cumberland County will choose between Kelli Tipton Buchannon and Sandy Gilbert for property assessor. The Board of Education District 2 seat will be decided between Christopher Scott Goddard and Scott Vanwinkle. In District 8, incumbent Teresa Boston is challenged by Travis Cole. The District 4 and 6 school board seats are not contested this year.

As of 1 p.m. central today (Thursday, February 22, 2024), the Cumberland County Election Commission reports 2,091 voted early. Citizens can cast their votes early at the Cumberland County Election Commission office located at 83 Northside Drive in Crossville. The hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.

In Roane County, no seats involving positions in the county will be on the ballot for the March 5 election. They will appear in the August 2024 election.

As of 2 p.m. Eastern today (Thursday, February 22, 2024), 951 citizens voted early.

Citizens can vote early in Roane County by going to the Kingston, Rockwood, or Harriman Community Center. Milestone Church in the northern part of the county is also an early voting site.

The hours in Roane County are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Eastern and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Eastern.
