A 85-year-old man was hit by a tractor-trailer in downtown Crossville late this morning (Monday, November 20, 2017). According to Crossville police, the accident happened on Main Street in front of the Cumberland County courthouse just before 11 a.m. when the man was attempting to cross Main Street where traffic had stopped. As the man crossed in front of the tractor-trailer, traffic began to move and he was hit. The injured man was taken to Cumberland Medical Center then flown to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries. The identity of the man was not available by authorities.
