EXCEEDING LEVEL OF LEAD DETECTED IN WATER FROM WORK SINK AT CCHS
Parents of students attending Cumberland County High School will receive a letter informing them of exceeding levels of lead detected in water there. The source of the water is in a work sink in the library (Room L106).
In compliance with the law, the school has immediately removed the water source from service and will remain unavailable until the entire unit is replaced and tested again for acceptable levels. The re-testing will be conducted within 90 days of any corrective action. The school system has notified state agencies of the test result.
