FACEBOOK CONFESSION LEADS TO CONVICTION ON BREAK-IN, BURGLARY CHARGES

A Knox County jury has convicted a Bearden woman of aggravated burglary, theft and vandalism. Thirty-nine-year-old Stephanie Dawn Hunt reportedly admitted – on her Facebook page – to breaking into her vacationing neighbor’s home in May 2016. Knox County prosecutors said Hunt broke a sliding-glass door with a baseball bat and stole items including a 42″ television and $2,100 cash. She admitted to the break-in and the theft on Facebook. When she’s sentenced June 8, Hunt could get three to six years in jail for the burglary charge and two to four years each for the theft and vandalism.
