Last night, Fairfield Glade firefighters responded to a fire at Village Green Mall caused by a shorted-out electric outlet in Skillets Country Kitchen.

According to the Fairfield Glade Fire Department, the fire started within the restaurant’s walls in the late evening. With the fire taking place so late, no one was in the building during the fire, so no civilians were injured.

Over 20 firefighters arrived to combat the fires, and less than 1,000 gallons of water were used to quell the flames. Thankfully, no firefighters were hurt.

Mick Ruggiero, owner of Skillets, spoke to us and said inspectors from the Tenessee Health Department gave him the go-ahead and told us the restaurant could be open again as soon as tomorrow, March 11th.
