FAIRFIELD GLADE HOME BURGLARIZED; FIREARMS, TVs, JEWELRY STOLEN
A Fairfield Glade man returned to his Monticello Loop residence late Wednesday night to find his home had been burglarized.
The suspect gained entry through a window that had been left cracked open and exited through a door in the living room, which was found open.
The homeowner stated he hadn’t been at the house since Saturday evening, and a neighbor who keeps an eye on his home apparently didn’t notice anything amiss.
The homeowner reported multiple firearms stolen – including two 12-gauge Mossberg shotguns, a rifle, two .22 caliber Ruger semi-automatic pistols, two pellet guns and multiple holstered revolvers. Also taken were three plasma TVs valued at $950, an $1,170 desktop computer and approximately $20,000 in assorted jewelry. In all, the homeowner estimates the value of items stolen at $26,000.
There are no suspects at this time. An investigation is underway.
