FAIRFIELD GLADE WOMAN GETS IRREPLACEABLE JEWELRY STOLEN

Officers were dispatched earlier this month to a Fairfield Glade residence for theft. When officers arrived, they spoke with an 84-year-old woman who said she had called Hiller to ask if someone could come out to her residence and fix her commode. She said when she first called, a man named Jason came out to help. The second time she had to call, Jason was accompanied by another young man. The woman did not know the other man’s name but she noticed that he kept going from the bathroom to her bedroom, which she found odd since the bathroom he was repairing was not in her bedroom but in the hall.

She said later when she went to her dresser to get her jewelry, she saw the left side with her necklaces was completely empty. She said she had so many pieces of jewelry including a gold necklace with little blue stones, a rectangle-shaped ring with a blue stone, and a couple of watches, one that had a frame covered in white stones.

The woman alleged that she thinks it was the unknown male that took her jewelry, as she was speaking to Jason the whole time. The only information she has was that he had told her he was new and had just moved here from California. The police plan to contact the plumbing company.

This case is still under investigation.
