FAMILIAR SUSPECT ARRESTED AGAIN FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

A suspect familiar to Cumberland County authorities found himself back behind bars Tuesday. A deputy pulled over Willie Ashton Dyal of Crossville on Highway 70 West for a traffic violation. A consent search of him reportedly revealed meth. Dyal was arrested for simple possession of a Schedule II drug and driving on a suspended license.

The sheriff’s office says the 29-year-old Dyal has been booked into the jail 22 times as of today on charges ranging from aggravated burglary to rape of a child.

He was ordered onto the state sex offender registry and classified as violent against children following his 2012 conviction of criminal attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery.
