One person died in a crash which involved a vehicle and a tractor trailer rig in Rockwood Sunday. Police were called to Gateway Ave. after a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Dawn Schmidt was rear ended by the rig. Schmidt was killed in the wreck. There were no other injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation. Gateway Ave. will remain closed in both directions between Coffman St. and Wheeler St. until approximately 4 PM.
