Several fire agencies in Roane County responded this morning to a mobile home blaze south of Rockwood on the 300 Block of Eagle Furnace Road just past Waldo Road.

One person was found inside the structure and was pronounced dead at the scene. The body was taken to the East Tennessee Regional Forensic Center in Knoxville for an autopsy

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation by the TBI.

Authorities will release more information, including the name of the deceased, at a later time.
