LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST CUMBERLAND CO. MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMUNICATIONS BOARD

Former Cumberland County Central Communications Center (CCC) Director Mike Blackwood has filed a federal lawsuit against County Mayor Kenneth Carey, Jr., the Central Communications Board and the City of Crossville. Blackwood was employed as the CCC director for two years ending in August 2017. The reasons for the lawsuit indicated in the document include violations of the state open meetings act, the Tennessee Public Protection Act and violating Blackwood’s First Amendment rights.
