FELONY VANDALISM AT CRITTER CROSSING

On July 8, 2025, Deputy Jordan Winningham of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vandalism report at Critter Crossing in Crossville. The victim reported that his 1996 Jeep Cherokee, which had been parked at the location for 6-7 weeks while a resident was making repairs, was vandalized.

The owner discovered the damage around 5:00 AM, noting that both driver-side tires had been slashed, the rear driver’s door window and rear hatch window were shattered, and some wires had been cut, with an estimated damage of $1,500.

The resident informed the deputy that he had moved the vehicle to the end of his driveway on July 7 after dark and instructed the owner to retrieve it, but denied causing the damage and was unaware of who might have.

The incident was classified as felony vandalism with damages between $1,000 and $2,500.
