Roane County authorities say a female in her 40’s was found fatally shot outside of a home on the 500 block of Emory Heights Road in Harriman last night. Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton said the female is identified as Cindy Lowe. District Attorney General Russell Johnson was called to the scene. Johnson later said the sheriff’s department will handle the investigation. Officers say all indications of the cause of death appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. An autopsy has been ordered.
