FENTRESS COUNTY APPROVES PURCHASE OF LAND FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PARK AND SPORTS COMPLEX
The Fentress County Commission approved the purchase of 33 acres near Jamestown on Old Highway 127 for the purpose of developing a park and sports complex. Fentress County Government is partnering with the City of Jamestown in applying for a $60,000.00 Architect and Engineering Grant that will create a Master Design for the project. The Master Design will then be submitted to TDEC as an application for a $250,000.00 Development Grant. Officials say the long term project for development and construction could stretch over a 4-6 year process.
