Last night (Friday, June 9, 2017), crews from the Harriman, Rockwood and Kingston fire departments all responded to a fire at Harriman Garden Apartments at the 900th block of Sewanee Street in Harriman. Firefighters quickly put out the blaze and worked on ventilating the structure to get the smoke out. Harriman Police Department also assisted in closing a part of Sewanee Street as water lines were over the roadway from a nearby hydrant. No injuries were reported in the fire.
