FIRE DESTROYS FENTRESS COUNTY ANTIQUE BUSINESS
A lightning strike is being determined as starting a fire which destroyed a Fentress County business Monday morning. The blaze was first sighted around 4 AM at the Possum Trot Antique Shop on Highway 127. County EMA Director James Bilbrey says that “it appeared that lightning had struck the tree causing the fire to spread down the side of the structure.” Response time was also hampered after emergency personnel had to clear a fallen tree from the roadway. There were no injuries reported in the incident.
